two friends and a diet

Our blog is for anyone who is on a diet, has ever been on a diet, or is thinking of going on a diet. We are two good friends who live in different cities: Weston, MA (right outside Boston) and NYC. Together, we have decided to go on a diet for one year. But more than food, dieting raises issues about self-image, family, control, etc. It is our hope that writing about it will make us do it, and in the process of getting thinner, maybe learn a thing or two about ourselves and each other.

down again (lyn)

Today is weigh-in. I have lost one point four pounds, for a total of 21.6 pounds in 13 weeks. I can now fit into the size 29 Lucky jeans that I called my "aspirational" pants on October 18. My hope was to fit in them by year end. Well, they now fit, though they are still a little tight around the waist. It doesn't matter though, as I don't like them anymore.

I can now choose many more clothes from my closet to wear, but until I can comfortably fit into a size 29 Paige or Joe’s jean, I know I still have a ways to go.
