blogging readership (lyn)

I’m reading the New York Times and see an article about male fashion bloggers.  One guy, age 24, writes under the heading, HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS AT PARTIES.  He also gets 100,000 monthly page views.  I mention this to Alexander.

Alexander:  Well that’s not surprising.  A lot more people are interested in what he writes about than what you write about.

Me: That’s not true at all.  Lots of people are interested in losing weight.

Alexander:  Ya, but that’s not what you write about it.  Your blog isn’t about HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT; it’s about HEY LOOK AT ME; I LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT!  If his blog were about I KNOW HOW TO TALK TO GIRLS AT PARTIES, no one would read it.

Hmmmm, interesting point.

  2. ...and so what if it's "Hey Look At Me", it's also about the trials and tribulations of losing weight, staying healthy and juggling the rest of our busy lives!! Keep up the good work!
