game over (m)

Today, Sam's team played the semi-final game of the hockey championships.

They were not expected to win and, in fact, did not.

It was a little depressing to watch them play a close game all through the first two periods and even part of the third and then have it all come to an end.  Even Harrison was depressed when the game was over.

Got outside and waited for Sam and his team to get out of the locker rooms.  It was a beautiful, 55-degree day.  One of the parents tells us the boys are waiting outside for us by the bus.  I go outside and there he is: dressed in a suit and tie, waiting for us to come see him.  I walk over to him and he gives me a big smile and says "you look skinnier".

Game?  What game?
